Voyageur

The Voyageur Club is located on the existing BGCTC Voyageur Environmental Center property which has been owned and operated since 1968. The property and facilities have historically been used to provide residential day and overnight camp programming for all BGCTC youth. Given the close proximity to the Twin Cities and the vast natural habitat, over the years Voyageur has provided many unique opportunities for thousands of BGCTC youth to explore environmental education and empower them to become stewards of the environment.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities owns and operates Voyageur.

Voyageur runs a residential summer camp for Club members. Camp Voyageur runs June through August. Club members also visit Voyageur on weekends as well as school release days.

At Voyageur, the environmental education curriculum is core to the education continuum offered. In addition to the lake, Voyageur features a beaver pond, an archery range, a sports field, two lodges, miles of hiking trails, and eight year-round sleeping cabins. Voyageur is also available as a resource for schools as well as a retreat and conference center.
